Principals Update

Dear Parents/Carers,

What a busy term so far with lots of events and activities to enrich and support learning.

We had all year groups represented in the Children In Need concert last Friday and Lexi, in Year 7 who is a particularly talented young lady and who also performed at the Singing for Schools event last week gave a wonderful performance.

It was lovely to see parents and grandparents watch with pride as the Year 7’s performed in the Singing for Schools event with a range of solos and whole year group singing. Year 5 and 6 pupils from Whitleigh Primary also enjoyed watching the event.

Scott selected to represent Devon at rugbyThe celebration assemblies which took place last week were brilliant, so many young people being acknowledged for their academic, team and individual achievements. Eoghan Grace, our special guest at the assemblies reiterated that success is down to hard work, dedication and self-belief. He shared with us what it takes to be an international sportsman. After his presentation he was happy to share his rugby experiences with students and staff.

On that note, Scott, a Year 13 student has recently been selected to represent in the Under 18’s Devon Rugby team for which we wish him every success.

I enjoyed meeting parents and careers at our parents evenings this term and welcomed the praise and feedback given for our new online booking system.

I am now looking forward to the end of term events.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Bevan
