Amazing” Sixth Form Trip to LondonOn December the 9th, which now seems a long time ago, 15 of our Sixth Form students had the opportunity to visit the House of Commons, Westminster Halls and the House of Lords. Not only did they have a guided tour of the 1000 years of history of these fantastic buildings but they also took part in a debate and watched the House of Lords in session.
The trip to London would not have been complete without a ride on the London Eye, a stop at 10 Downing Street, a visit to Covent Garden, a walking tour of London and dinner at Planet Hollywood! Not to mention a slightly crazy tube ride at rush hour!
What did the students have to say about the trip?
Jasmine Bewers said; "Today was better than I had imagined, it was an opportunity that could not be missed. Even the early start (5.30am at the train station) did not put me off! I have learned so much and seen so many amazing things, I am so very grateful for this amazing experience that I shall never forget it. Thank you!"
We aim to make this an annual Sixth Form trip and hope one day that you too could have the chance to visit the House of Commons with us.
