Climbing Club

This Winter’s climbing club has started again, with students coming along to the Life Centre wall every Tuesday after school. Students are getting used to starting off in the bouldering cave and warming up first to prevent injury. They then attempt to climb the hardest things they can find. For the new Year 7’s who have never climbed before, they are still learning the different techniques and are already looking like being future climbing experts! Remember climbing club is on every Tuesday, 3:05pm – 5:45pm with a small fee of £5 and anyone is welcome.

Bikeability level 2 and 3 is continuing each week and is showing us some real confident cyclists. It is great to see the focus and care they take on the roads and how exciting they find it. Both current level 2 groups are now looking at junctions and starting to cycle on slightly busier roads. This requires exceptional concentration and listening skills and it is a pleasure to see them all doing so well and taking everything they have been taught on board.

Bike to school week starts this week, Monday 28th November to Friday 2nd December and our aim is to encourage as many students as possible to cycle to school. There are prizes to be won for those that are regularly cycling to school. Miss Symons and Mr Alcock will be at the garage every morning for anyone who wants to keep their bike locked away until after school.
