Musical talent for Children In Need

Children In Need 2016

We raised a staggering £740.19! A plethora of events were held to raise money for Children in Need from cake sales to a talent show. Throughout the day staff and students joined forces and created a lot of fun in a bid to generate as much for the charity as possible.

Children in NeedThe PE department hosted ‘Beat the goalie’ in the sports hall with students donating 20p to take a penalty shot and score a goal against the staff ! £13.40 was raised.

Retro Gaming Challenge hosted by Mr Waite and Mr Benney in S001 on Friday lunchtime saw 35 students compete to get the fastest time and highest score on the Sega classic – Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Competition was fierce, resulting in a top 3 of: 3rd – Brandon Cadman, 2nd Josh Worth, and 1st Cameron Watson Hill who wins the prize. A total of £8 was raised over lunchtime.

10 Lowe got creative in the kitchen when they produced a spread of delicious home made flap jacks and cakes, £63.67 was generated.

The day ended in a spectacular talent show pulled together by Mr Cleverley and the abundance of talent that we have here at Sir John Hunt. With music from today’s charts and a blast from the past students poured into the performance hall to support their friends who were on stage. Additional to this, we also had a special staff performance from Mr Cleverley, Mr Harling and Mr Walker!
