Outdoor and Adventurous ActivitiesMr Alcock and Mr Hanrahan from Plymouth School Sports Partnership, took a group of keen Year 7's mountain biking in Cann Woods at Plymbridge on Wednesday after school. After cycling up a relatively easy path, they then went off road to attempt some tricky trails to really put our new fleet of bikes through their paces.
Whilst on the trail, the students came across a bushcraft shelter which they posed for a photo in whilst taking a much needed rest. When they were ready to go again, they came across a variety of tracks which had mixed difficulty levels, some with steep drops. All students had the opportunity to ride down the steeper parts if they were feeling particularly confident. Come the end, everyone had achieved a goal they set prior to the session.
Well done to all the students for showing great determination and bravery to overcome the more difficult sections and a big thank you to Mr Hanrahan for taking our group of Year 7's on their first mountain biking experience.
Next week OAA club will be going rock climbing at the Dewerstone, those lucky enough to have got their names down early are Alyssa Marsh, Mia-Leigh Davies, Rebecca Snowden, Holly McMullen-Clark, Jade Almond, Jay Weeks, Kai Foster, Joshua Haskell, Kayne Glanfield and Mckenzie Shelley
