Senior Citizens Party

Senior Citizens Party

Sixty local senior citizens attended this year’s community Christmas extravaganza. The evening is a culmination and celebration of our students hard work throughout the term and I would like to thank in order:
  • The Sir John Hunt Choir who performed the opening entertainment under the direction of Mrs Cleverley
  • Our Health and Social Care students for providing the gold level of silver service under the direction of Mrs Crowl
  • The Sixth Form band under the direction of Mr Cleverley
  • The student Bingo callers, trained by Mrs Slater
  • The Year 11 and Sixth Form dancers, trained by Paula Hocking from Wheelchair Fever.

I would also like to thank all of the staff who participated in the evening and helped behind the scenes. This involved donating and wrapping presents, supporting with transport, decorating the hall and of course clearing up afterwards! The comments from the senior citizens are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students, which highlights how important the evening is to our local community.

"Thank you so much. My mum lost her leg 3 years ago and couldn’t go outside. She was delighted that you invited her and it was amazing to see her enjoying herself again."

"The entertainment was marvellous, it just gets better every year!” “You have wonderful students, very talented."
