Outdoor and Adventurous Activities

Bikeability in PE is seeing the second cohort begin their training on the muga. After checking all basic skills and discussing the foundations of safety for riding on the roads, they will be ready to go out in Whitleigh next week.

This year’s Year 7 camp preparations are fully underway, with the Sixth Form volunteers helping to finally sort out the tepee and understand how to put it up! They are using the camp as part of their volunteering section for their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, aiming to be the first Sir John Hunt students to achieve gold and be awarded their medals at Buckingham Palace next year.

The Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award will be launched to the Year 9s in the next few weeks, as will the Gold Award to Year 12.
