Year 9 CampThis weekend was the Year 9 camp which consisted of the majority of the Duke of Edinburgh students. This was another opportunity for them to navigate their way to the camp with only remote supervision from the staff.
This is so they become more confident in their navigation before their official Duke of Edinburgh assessment. When everyone arrived at camp, the students were closely watched on their efforts in putting up a tent and then cooking a hot meal on a Trangia.
Once everyone had eaten, it was time for a night navigation up and around Gutter Tor. Well done to all for surviving the cold morning and a special thank you to Paul Roberts from Plymouth School Sports Partnership for helping out!
