The Royal Society of ChemistryOver the last few weeks Mr Gardiner and I have been working with ten of our Year 7 students on a Royal Society of Chemistry’s project entitled ‘WATER – a global experiment with hydrogels’. Having completed the required research and experiments we have now joined with schools all over the world, through posting our results on the RSoC website.
Sixth Form student Ebby Callender is supporting our project by working with us as a research assistant and student facilitator. Our next stage is to carry out extension activities with the aim of gaining a CREST bronze award. CREST stands for Creativity in Engineering, Science and Technology and the award is part of a British Science Association programme. The link to our results can be found on the College’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
