Outdoor and Adventurous Activities

The final Bikeability group of Year 7 are half way through their programme. They have been progressing well with just their right turns still to do. Last session saw them attempt the steep hill up Lancaster Gardens, with the majority of them making it most of the way, hopefully next time they’ll all make it to the top!

The Intervention team this week continued their work keeping calm in difficult situations. This Thursday the team had a go at gorge walking in the river Plym. Each student achieved this, showing bravery in pushing themselves when they were cold and shivering. Special mention must go to Summer Wood for going head first down the waterfall slide, the video of which is to be seen on the media server!

Climbing Club students pushed themselves last week at the Dewerstone cliff, climbing one route graded severe and trusting each other to lower each other right from the very top. Excellent commitment and behaviour was shown by all. Climbing Club continues every Thursday after school, if it’s dry we’ll go and climb outdoors on Dartmoor cliffs, if it is raining then we shall go indoors to the Life Centre.
