Sixth Form become teachers for the day

Sixth Form Become Teachers for the Day!

During National Science Week, medical science students visited Beechwood Primary School and became the teachers for the day, leading activities with Year 5 and Year 6 students. The Sixth Form students from our College and Torbridge High independently planned and delivered all the activities, which included having to order equipment and provide resources.

The medical science group managed to engage all students in the activities and made the day fun and enjoyable. They received very positive feedback from both the students and the staff at the school. Mrs Heard and I were exceptionally proud to take such an outstanding group of students out for the morning.

"It was interesting to get out and teach young, creative students who thoroughly enjoyed our experiments." (Charlotte Chown).

Thank you to Mrs Heard for all of her hard work in preparing the students for the trip and supporting them in their delivery on the day.
