Outdoor and Adventurous Activities

Rock climbing club saw students building on the techniques they have been learning all year. It is rewarding to see how far they have all come in terms of climbing technique. Particularly of note were Jordan and Jack who both attempted a ‘Chimney’ climb which needed completely new skills to overcome. Jordan managed the 5+ version and Jack excelled on the 6b version. If you wish to come along to the club please collect a letter from Student Services and come along every Thursday 3:05 – 5:45pm.

Bike maintenance club has nearly finished their project bikes, having taken un-rideable bikes and up-cycled them, with the aim of taking them home and riding them to school every day. Next week the students will take their newly made bikes onto the Plymbridge trails. Look out for the new project next term, if you fancy building your own bike and learning some mechnical skills.

Intervention students pushed themselves last week at the Dewerstone cliff. Climbing one route graded severe and trusting each other to lower each other, right from the very top. Excellent commitment and behaviour was shown by all.
