The Sixth Form at Sir John Hunt Community Sports CollegeWelcome to the Sixth Form at Sir John Hunt Community Sports College, where we aim to provide an exciting, inclusive and supportive environment for all students to continue their studies.
We offer a wide range of opportunities for our students to continue to develop their skills and qualifications, in partnership with our consortium schools of Torbridge High School, All Saints Academy and Lipson Co–operative Academy known as the Partnership for Learning and Education (PLE.)
Students can study for a diverse range of qualifications which includes A Levels, Level 3 courses and Diplomas as well as NVQ's in a variety of work areas through Plymouth Learning Trust (PLT).
The qualifications students gain with us will enable them to develop a career or join a University or College of Higher Education.
There are over 40 different A Level and Level 3 equivalent courses to choose from, as well as a broad and balanced work related learning pathway. You can choose from Hair and Beauty to Plumbing or Mechanics.
Sixth Form students also have the opportunity to be involved in a number of Enrichment activities.
All external applicants and Year 11 students are interviewed, and parents are encouraged and welcome to attend to find out more about opportunities that exist within our Sixth Form, the PLE and our PLT.
Students in the Sixth Form receive information about how they are progressing and what they need to do to ensure they are fulfilling their potential every term.
Form tutors are the student's first point of contact for any of their concerns, although all of the Sixth Form Team are available for students and parents to talk to. Our Sixth Form puts the student at its centre.
If you would like to discuss a place in Sixth form, please contact us to arrange an appointment on 01752 581604 where a member of the Sixth Form team will be happy to help you.
